Preamble
The Oracle/PLSQL LTRIM function removes all specified characters from the left side of the string.
Syntax of the Oracle/PLSQL LTRIM function
LTRIM( string1_id, [ trim_string _id ) )
Parameters and function arguments
- string1_id – a string that is shortened on the left side.
- trim_string _id – is the string that will be removed from the left side of string1. If this parameter is not specified, the LTRIM function will remove all spaces from string1.
The LTRIM function returns a string value.
