Preamble
Oracle/PLSQL NEXT_DAY function returns the first day of the week that is larger than date.
Oracle/PLSQL syntax of function NEXT_DAY
NEXT_DAY( date_id, weekday_id )
Parameters and function arguments
- date_id – used to search the next day of the week
- weekday_id – is the day of the week (it is: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
The NEXT_DAY function returns date.
The NEXT_DAY function can be used in the following Oracle/PLSQL versions
Oracle 12c, Oracle 11g, Oracle 10g, Oracle 9i
