The DROP USER statement is used to delete a user from a PostgreSQL database.
The syntax for the DROP USER statement in PostgreSQL
DROP USER user_name;
Options and arguments of the statement
- user_name – The name of the user to be deleted from the PostgreSQL database.
Note:
- If the user you want to delete owns a database, be sure to delete the database first and then delete the user.
How to delete a user in PostgreSQL using the DROP USER operator
For example:
DROP USER trizor;
In this example, the DROP USER operator will delete a user named trizor in a PostgreSQL database.
